Diarmid Flatley is a composer and intermedia artist. His practice explores relationships between technology, perception, and aesthetics. Major areas of interest include computer assisted composition, audio spatialization, just intonation, and interactive multimedia. His works, acoustic and electronic, performative and installed, have appeared at events across the United States. Diarmid holds a B.A. in Music from the University of California San Diego and a M.M. in Music Theory and Composition from New York University. He currently co-teaches Collaborative Projects in the Performing Arts at NYU, and works at MELA Foundation as administrator, technician, and assistant to La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela.
