Emergent complexity from simple rulesets.

Inspired by Steven Wolfram’s Physics Project, these works represent an initial exploration of hypergraphs as artistic materials. Hypergraphs are graphs in which hyperedges can connect any number of nodes. Similar to Wolfram’s previous work with cellular automata, hypergraphs evolve through repeated applications of simple rulesets, resulting in emergent forms that can display remarkable complexity. In these artistic explorations, hypergraphs serve as frameworks for autonomous agents that move from node to node, with their paths being sonified.
