Hyperchaotic Trajectories

High-dimensional chaotic attractors and metacompositional structure.

Hyperchaos refers to chaotic behavior in high-dimensional dynamical systems. This series of works uses the phase space trajectories of a 9-dimensional hyperchaotic attractor as the input to generative art systems. This data creates a formal link across modalities producing a family of related works in form, color and sound that traverse the virtual and physical. Media include: digital image, digital video, multichannel audio, 360 stereoscopic video, virtual reality environments, immersive installation and 3D printed artifacts.
